Rudolph Walker has worked in theatre, film, short drama, comedy and long-running TV serials for more than six decades. Beloved as Patrick Trueman in soap opera Eastenders (which celebrated its 40th anniversary this year), his extensive career also boasts roles that have been provocative, Shakespearian, confrontational, comedic, profoundly serious and futuristic.

Walker published his autobiography Walking with Dignity, in 2024. It provided personal insight into his determination to forge a career in the UK’s dramatic arts. Join him in conversation with actor, director, and President of RADA David Harewood, as he discusses that journey from Trinidad, his peers and the ever-changing landscape of British acting.
